Aazam Irilian

Aazam Irilian is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist who bridges art and science to reveal the complexity and beauty of the natural world. By using mineral solutions and salts, she creates captivating textures and effects that add depth and interest in her work.

A Kipaipai Fellow since 2020, she has been three-times grant recipient of The Quick Grant from the Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI). She also has been awarded residencies from the Dorland Foundation and The Chateau d’Orquevaux in France in 2024 and 2025.

Irilian’s works have been exhibited nationally and she is in numerous private collections around the world—Iran, France and across the United States. She has been featured in variety of publications, including A Century of CA Women Artists, Voyage LA, Life & Work, Art & Beyond Magazine.

Originally from Iran, Irilian has resided in Southern California for over forty Three years. She completed a Master of Art in Studio Art at the California State University Northridge. She has been an art educator for over 30 years, sharing her passion with students of all ages.
